Lazy friday.

As you saw from my last post, we were up watching Thor until 2:30ish in the morning. I got to take a nice long nap today but Christian (poor guy) had that big exam he's been studying for all week (musculoskeletal exam 1). He left for school around 10:30 AM and we met up again after he had finished at the Rose & Crown, a delightful little pub downtown in Heritage Square (right down the street from Chase Field). The med kids hang out here often, exam or no exam, to unwind, drink, sometimes eat, and drink some more. For the non-drinker they serve delish pub food and a mean glass of ice water, plus we're mainly there for the fine, medically-inclined company.

After pub chows and some visiting, we came home, and I started on my orientation class for Georgetown. I got through most of it and it helped me understand how my classes will be held. I have to say, the technology is REALLY cool, 8 of us at a time will be live streamed into a classroom with one professor. We can't be 'late' or we'll get in trouble. :) I hope this will help me stay on task and be prepared before each class because I'll actually be discussing material with real people. In the midst of my orientation, I looked over to find my support team had...well...faded on me.

Poor guy. Big test, tons of late nights this week, Thor, no nap. I asked him if he was going to sleep all night, he made one fake attempt to get up, and I decided to let them sleep. V has come out to chill with me a few times. She's such a good girl. :)

So despite my desire to have a Friday out and about, I'm here. Watching Iron Man on TV. However, Christian works really hard, had a great exam today, and if I were him I wouldn't even had made a fake attempt to get up, I would have probably cursed at me.

Two more work days (Saturday/Sunday) then quitting on Monday. :/ I'm really scared and I feel bad (plus my boss is scary). I know I'll feel better once I get it out of the way. I have tons of stuff to work on to get ready for school (immunization paperwork, physical, buying books, etc).

I hope everyone is having a fantastic Friday. Chris and I want to give a birthday shout out to the lovely Savannah who is celebrating 15 years today! Savannah, you are smart, funny, so beautiful, and have the kindest heart. I feel so lucky to be your sister-in-law and friend. We're bummed we weren't there to celebrate with you today (I hope our card came in time!) and we can't wait to see you next time we're down. We love you.

Everyone be safe and have a fantastic weekend.
Love,
Ash + V
