graduation day.

One day - two graduations! Well, technically a promotion and a graduation but graduation sounds a lot more official. Josh and Taylor (Christian's oldest younger brother) both had big days today.

First, Josh had his 8th grade promotion this morning. He's so excited for next year at Sahuaro, but I think he started getting a little bummed when he realized that he won't be seeing a lot of the kids he spent the last 3 years with. He was one of four class valedictorians with 4.0 GPA maintained through all of middle school. Along with this came the honor (or horror, however you look at it) of giving a speech at the promotion ceremony. He was super nervous but he ROCKED it.

Ms. Regole had all three of us for Language Arts through the years. No more Allens at Secrist!

Then, Taylor had the big one tonight!!! I feel like we're at Sahuaro's graduation almost every single year between relatives and friends (Cody graduated last year) so we've pretty much got the routine down. Crowded bleachers, stupid people saving seats for imaginary relatives, air horns, balloons, fireworks. OH WAIT A MINUTE.....fireworks? Yes. Sahuaro High School graduation for the class of 2011 culminated with real legit fireworks. Like, a few minutes of them. So cool, I immediately felt like we missed out at our graduation. I mean, silly string? Way lame compared when with fireworks. We are SO proud of Taylor and he's super stoked to get started at the U of A in the fall. WAY TO GO, TAY.

WHEW. What a crazy few days. I may or may not head back to Phoenix tomorrow, only to return on Wednesday of next week through the weekend. So for those of you I haven't seen...like all of you...I shall return. Sarah = happy hour, Kristin = lunch (maybe movie?), Gina = lunch? We'll make it happen.
